Underestimated

I was underestimated. Pushed by the end of my dignity. I humbly humbly thanks The Lord because He is given me the people to make me humble, the people who look down on me.

I need to copy his words:

Fight Back

I need to fight back whenever and wherever I am bullied, underestimated, and pushed to the bottom of my own dignityI am strong enough to stand tall facing all the challenges in front of me eventhough I keep bumping into the roadblocks

I am not afraid to dream big which will probably make me look small in others’ eyes because I know exactly who I am and what I can do

Nooone.. Nobody.. could stop me from believing in myself

If anyone read this, I want you to push yourself more
That’s what exactly I will do – Pushing myself to the limit

Let’s dream big..

A June Reflection

I don’t know what happen to me in the past 2-3 days, but there are things that will always be a burden to me, that is thinking of him. Once that I got my internship I feel highly excited and motivated, but then I feel an unexplainable loneliness, and then my insecurities and worry come out-out of the blue. It made me sick and almost had a flu, but then I tried to regain myself again.

Loving him, made me learn to love God.

Because the way that I love him, it is almost about the same as any spiritual religious experience to love God.

The first few times after I met him I feel close, loved, and intimate, the happy moments.

And after that I have to trust,  have faith, persevere, and be patience for him and applicable to the way I have to treat My God, My Beloved Lover.

I have to wait for him to answer my messages, and when he does my heart fonder. The same way I pray to God, and when He answers my prayers, I feel joy.

I wait patiently to meet him again sometime, the same as I have to wait patiently for heaven, to see my true beloved Lover.

I do not want to hurt him and make him disappointed, the same way I have to love my God and not make him hurt and feel disappointed because of my actions, thoughts, or ignorance.

There are times that I feel that I don’t deserve his love and His love, because of my own insecurities and doubt, but I have to learn just to surrender, trust, and have faith in what the Lord, my God, my Beloved Lover intentions in teaching me and showing me the way by loving him.

God’s plan

http://www.catholicbible101.com/godsplanourplan.htm

“I tell you that you have less to suffer in following the cross than in serving the world and its pleasures.”  Quote from St. John Vianney

God’s plan for our life is simple – We know Him, we love Him, and we serve Him, so that we can be happy forever with Him in heaven.  Let’s take a look at the picture above and see how, a lot of times, our plan differs from His.

The angled redline above represents God’s plan for us. It is uphill all the way, but notice how he gives us the sacraments to help us in our uphill struggle.  The blue line represents our own plans for God. Notice how it meanders all over the place, crooked as can be, and how we go in circles when entrapped by different kinds of sin.   And guess who is lurking in any one of these infernal do-loops just waiting to nab us – satan. Some of the circles are bigger than others, which means that each person has his or her own peculiar major and minor faults, that satan will latch onto to bring us down.  He will disguise these sins as being beautiful and good, only to show us the evil after we have sinned.  If we should die in these sins without repentance, the odds of us going to heaven are slim.  Thanks be to God, the Last Rites are there for us upon death.  And always remember the proverb – “God draws straight with crooked lines”, meaning that no matter how much we stray, He is always waiting for us to straighten our lives out with His Gospel.   And always remember – The natural way of man is to sin and go to hell.  God knows this, and sends us SUPERnatural help through His Church.  It’s only by latching on to the grace-filled sacraments and studying His Word and applying it in our lives that man can overcome his natural tendencies to sin.  And the more we struggle against sin and accept God’s grace, the easier it gets to go up to the next level of spirituality.  If we just accept sin in our lives as being OK and reject God’s grace, then, of course, it becomes easier to go down to the next level of depravity.

The person’s soul at the bottom of the picture is black, due to his sinful nature.  He is carrying excess baggage, namely self-love,  money, love of things, and sensual pleasure.  As he finally reaches heaven, notice how much smaller he is, and notice how his soul has now turned white.  He has gotten smaller, because like John the Baptist said, “He must increase, while I must decrease.”  When we finally wake up and start practicing Christianity, we start to eliminate our pride and ego, and we start to trust Jesus to just take care of everything, thus making ourselves small in the eyes of the world.  The person’s soul has now turned white and has lost the black coloration, because as he trusted Jesus more and more, he stopped sinning, started praying more, and received the grace-filled sacraments more frequently.  And if you look in his hand, you will see that he has dropped his excess baggage and has now embraced the Cross, the Word of God, and the Eucharist.

And notice that the wandering blue line crosses the straight and narrow red line several times. This shows that God is giving you many opportunities and Christian friends during your wanderlust years to pull you  away from your losing lifestyle into His way of life, the way of the cross.  Please don’t wait for the undertaker, do it NOW! Why?  Because we will suffer mightily for every sin we ever commit, whether in this life or in the fires of purgatory after we die.  Remember, there is always the forgiveness of the sin through confession, but the punishment for that sin can only be taken away through suffering, or by gaining a plenary indulgence.

So are you on the make-it-up-as-you-go-along blue path, which meanders all over the place, and with seemingly no purpose?  Or are you on the straight red line to heaven path?  The choice is yours to make, right now!

“If, devout soul, it is your will to please God and live a life of serenity in this world, unite yourself always and in all things to the divine will. Reflect that all the sins of your past wicked life happened because you wandered from the path of God’s will. For the future, embrace God’s good pleasure and say to him in every happening: “Yea, Father, for so it hath seemed good in thy sight.”

St Alphonsus de Liguori

God’s plan for YOU !

Jeremiah 29:11-13: For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.  You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart,

the goal of life here on earth is:

TO KNOW, LOVE, AND SERVE GOD IN THIS LIFE, SO THAT WE CAN BE HAPPY WITH HIM IN HEAVEN.

Depression

http://www.catholicbible101.com/depression.htm

Depression is usually triggered by a significant life event, like the death of a loved one, a financial crisis, or when a spouse or significant other suddenly leaves you high and dry for another person.  Or it can be a gradual thing, where you keep plugging away at life and feel like no one appreciates you or the sacrifices you make for them.  A life of serious sin can also cause depression, because there is always a huge payback from satan for every ounce of pleasure that one derives from sin.  Committing serious over and over again is like running up a huge debt on your credit card; eventually, it has to be paid back, even if your sin is forgiven in the confessional (see Indulgences).  In the author’s case, the going rate for payback was about 10 pounds of pain for every ounce of pleasure!

So just know that Jesus went through this as well, in the Garden ofGethsemane.  He knows exactly what it feels like, so when you go through this agony of depression, you can unite your suffering to that of His, and that is a good thing.  Why does this happen?  No one knows for sure, but since we know that God is our loving Father and is always looking out for our best LONG-TERM interests (heaven, that is), then we have to assume that this short term pain here on earth is for our long term gain in heaven.  Sometimes, in order to get into our heart, He has to break it first, due to our pride and our self-love. And even though it hurts like hell, there is a silver lining to suffering depression:

Some of the saints have addressed this issue as well.  The Blessed Mother told Bernadette at Lourdes that she would never be happy in this life, only in the next.  St. Bartolo Longo was a satanist who suffered mind delusions as a result.  When he finally got his act together, he started to promote the Holy Rosary every chance he got, and was eventually saved.  St. John of the Cross wrote about the Dark Night of the Soul, where spiritual dryness during prayer and doubts about one’s salvation happen. He said that this is very common to the saints, because it is the Lord’s way of drawing them closer to him.  After all, it’s easy to love someone when you get lots of good feelings and help from them; it’s quite harder to love someone when you don’t. But that’s the real test of love, isn’t it?   Sacrificial love is sacrificing yourself for someone when they don’t appreciate you or you don’t feel anything emotionally from them.  And that is EXACTLY what Jesus felt on the cross – He sacrificed Himself mightily for us, who, for the most part, don’t appreciate it in the way we should.

Thus, all sufferings are nothing in comparison with what awaits us in heaven.

Matthew 10:38 “and he who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.”

Colossians 1:24: Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church.

Another strategy of his is to always upset you, so that you will start to question why God allows these bad things to happen to you. After all, you will start to think, I am a good person, and if God loved me, then He wouldn’t let these things happen to me. Well, guess what – none of the saints ever lived perfect and cushy lives either! Read Job chapter 38 if you want the answer to this question! Still another of his demonic methods is to make life so easy and cushy for you with money and good luck, that you will start to question why you need God at all!

the more you commit yourself to Christ, the more demons satan will assign to you to trip you up.

So always remember that you have 2 choices in life:

1. Either your body can drag your soul to hell;

2. OR, your soul can lift your body to heaven.

CHOOSE WISELY!

Christ Passion

Because in Isaiah 53:5, he said that “by His stripes (wounds) we are healed”.  Since that is true, we ought to be meditating on the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ at every opportunity. St. Padre Pio received the stigmata of Jesus while meditating on His passion.

Prayer

http://www.catholicbible101.com/howtopray.htm

These 4 different types are mostly ignored by most pray-ers, except for the last one, supplication.  Supplication means to ask for favors.  Adoration is the best type of prayer, because you are adoring God for what He is – Everlasting, Almighty, All Knowing, All Holy, All Good, All Powerful, The Best Father Ever, etc.  Contrition is the next best, because you are expressing sorrow for your sins. Remember the tax collector in Luke 18 who beat his breast saying “Have mercy on me a sinner”.  Jesus said that he went home justified, while the self righteous Pharisee did not.  The third type of prayer, Thanksgiving, is also very important.  How do we feel when we go the extra mile for someone else’s benefit and they don’t even come back to thank us? Jesus cured 10 lepers, but only one came back to thank him in Luke 17:15-16. This was not seen as a positive by Jesus. We all have received many favors from God, so let’s all take a vow to start thanking Him for them all, right now.

The truth is that the people who use all 4 types of prayer from the heart have more of a chance of getting their prayers answered than those who just ask for stuff all of the time, like God is some kind of celestial slot machine – You put a few prayers in, and out comes the jackpot, as ordered.  Of course, the real purpose of prayer is not that God should be united to our will here on earth, but that we should be united to His will in Heaven.  The prayers “Thy will be done” and “be it done to me according to thy word” were given to us by Jesus and Mary.  We should not only imitate them in saying these prayers ourselves, but we should also really desire the meaning of these prayers in our lives.
